Obtaining Visa for countries that require Visa to enter Turkey.

**If you are exempt from a tourist visa for Turkey, you do not need to apply for a student visa at the Turkish Embassy/Consulate. You will simply enter the country with a passport valid for the complete length of stay plus 30 or 90 days.

A Letter of Acceptance/Offer Letter, or its equivalent will be required from every person applying for a Turkish study Visa. Please make sure you have obtained your Acceptance/Offer Letter before you proceed with the Turkish Embassy/Consulate of your respected country.
You are highly recommended to lodge your application for a Turkish student visa on time in order to avoid any problems. The time frame for Turkey student visa submission is as follows:
- You can apply 60 days before your intended departure to Turkey.
- The latest you are permitted to apply is one month prior to your trip.

What you need to know about the Appointment:
01 Request an Appointment Date and Time at your respective Turkish Embassy/Consulate.
02 Complete the online form (https://www.konsolosluk.gov.tr/Visa/Index) at the pre-requirement system.
03 On the day of your interview, you should show up at the Turkish embassy or consulate in your country of residence. You will attend a short interview with a consular officer who will ask you a few questions regarding your trip.
04 Make sure you have all the required documents with you. Remember that the interview is also a crucial factor in whether you will get the visa or not. Make a good impression.

TÖMER – TÜRKÇE ÖĞRENME MERKEZİ is an independent center that provides Turkish courses in collaboration with the University.
Students who are offered to study TÖMER, regardless if they are eligible to stay for 30/90 Days in Turkey must obtain an Education Visa from the Turkish Embassy/Consulate in their country of residence.

Please ensure that you obtain and attest the following documents in your country before you travel to Turkey.
***All required documents must have an Apostille Stamp obtained from the country of Origin.
01 Equivalency
Undergraduate students must obtain Equivalency from the Turkish Embassy. If you do not obtain it, you must then obtain an Apostille stamp from your country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and later get the Equivalency in Turkey.
Graduate students cannot get the Equivalency in the Embassy. Their Equivalency will be handled in Turkey.
02 Deed of Consent
Students under the age of 18 must obtain parental consent through the Deed of Consent document.
03 Marriage Certificate.
Married Staff and Students must provide their Marriage Certificate translated to Turkish at the Turkish Embassy in their respective country.
Only the Turkish version is accepted by the Immigration Office.
04 Birth Certificate
Staff and Students with children under the age of 18 must provide their Birth Certificate, translated to Turkish at the Turkish Embassy in the respective country,

04 Criminal Record,
This document is required for Family Residence Permit. Only Staff family are eligible for this permit. It can be used within 6 months from the day of issuance.
Note: If your country it is not part of Apostille System your documents need to be legalized by the issuing country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
