A delegation from our university led by Prof. Dr. İrfan Gündüz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, participated in the NAFSA 2025 Annual Conference & Expo which was held in San Diego, California in the USA between May 27-30, 2025 to enhance international collaborations and increase global visibility. Our university, which has been regularly attending the fair held in a different U.S. city each year since 2018, once again had the opportunity to meet with both existing and new partners.
Taking its place in the “Study in Türkiye” pavilion organized under the leadership of the Turkish National Agency, the Ibn Haldun University delegation held meetings on student and staff exchanges, as well as partnership opportunities in various fields, with higher education representatives from different continents.
In addition, the delegation had the opportunity to meet with the Consul General of Los Angeles, Sinan Kuzum. They also had the chance to connect and interact with Turkish academics working at various universities across the U.S. during a cocktail reception held at the San Diego Turkish House, hosted by the Consulate. Following the fair, the delegation attended a second reception organized at the invitation of Consul General Sinan Kuzum in Los Angeles to have discussions focused on higher education in an international context and Türkiye’s potential in this field.
